![]() Opportunities for improvement: I was disappointed to see such unhealthy food choices. We very much enjoyed our time at Great Wolf. The room even had a little living room area with a fireplace. The rooms were very spacious with 2 beds, a roll out sofa bed, plus the loft area with a bed and extra bathroom. The lobby is decorated for children and it was special for me to see my son so happy. We especially loved story time at 7:30pm and disco hour for the kids. The indoor water park has so much to do, from the wave pool, to tubing down slides into the lazy river, and areas for small children, plus jacuzzi's. What I loved: what a great waterpark for children and families. We had a comfortable room and a couple of hours of thrilling water park time, but ultimately, spending that much money for a brief stay was not for me.Ģ stars for the polite service by employee's While cost played a factor, it was mainly about the level of service we received for the price. However, it was a one-time experience for me. It exceeded my expectations in terms of hourly rate compared to even the Disney Experience. Our short stay at Great Wolf Lodge in Wisconsin Dells was quite expensive - over $700 for less than three hours, including two hours of waterpark fun. The option to pay an extra $100 for a late checkout, giving us an hour more at the park, was available but we opted not to waste our time. Our kiddos barely got two hours of waterpark fun before it closed. The cleanliness and friendly staff make this place an enjoyable stay, but the waterpark's early closing time (at 8pm, ugh) is a bummer - it seems to cater only to toddlers. Perhaps, we made an error in judgement for paying a premium for our room. It was frustrating to witness guests who paid significantly less than us check-in with ease. ![]() As we waited for the time to pass, we were finally able to check in at 5:45pm. However, while navigating their website, we discovered that the official check-in time was at 4pm. Upon arrival on Sunday afternoon at 2:30pm, we aimed to check in online as stated on the hotel's website. Did the Arcade ($150 for 2 kids) - It lasted two hours and gave them something to do. Older Teenage Kids used facilities for swimming - They weren't too excited. We chose to eat elsewhere - Purchased Pretzel at Bar - It was alright. We had cocktails at the bar - HOLY COW is it expensive. ![]() We purchased a $400 two bedroom room for one night - it was very nice. And if you have to pee, the bathrooms by the fitness center did not open till later in the day. Beds were kind of comfy.įitness Center is very small. It was served family style and rather boring. We paid for the breakfast "buffet" option. There is a lack of good food options available here. The Tornado is so fun, but the hike up with the 4 person raft is excruciating. By 2pm it was packed and all slides had waits. We had the place to ourselves at opening. Wish they had one outside the Waterpark, though. There were a lot of rooms with different water options. They had some decent adult drinks, though. This location is a better value than the California ones.
